From the pristine lakeshore corridors with its stunning parks and beaches and marinas, to historic downtowns and outdoor band concerts, Manitowoc is a maritime treasure to visit as well as a quality place to live. Starting at the Wisconsin Maritime Museum, hike, bike, or roller blade the 6-mile Mariners Trail that hugs our shoreline along Lake Michigan. Visitors can walk all the way out to the Manitowoc Breakwater Light, or continue another mile to the West of the Lake Gardens. The trail continues for 6 miles all the way to downtown Two Rivers and is considered the longest, continuous, scenic view of Lake Michigan in Wisconsin. Bike rental is available. You can also dive historic shipwrecks just off our shores. Equipment rental, sales and services are available locally. And if you enjoy the fight of a Lake Michigan trophy fish, you’ve come to the right place. Our charter fisherman are ready to provide an exciting adventure in sport fishing on Lake Michigan.

The entrance to our harbor is marked by the historic Manitowoc Breakwater Light. The S. S. Badger Carferry crosses twice daily from Manitowoc, WI to Ludington, MI
