Spirit on the Lake
Located an hour north of Milwaukee, Sheboygan is nestled on the shores of Lake Michigan. While our population may dictate we're a larger community (50,000), our minds and hearts are small-town oriented.

Within our harbor is the Harbor Centre Marina, a 281-slip gem that boaters call the finest marina on the western shore of Lake Michigan. We welcome boaters from all areas, and offer a variety of services from May through October.

We are also home to Deland Park (an exquisite beach and family area), the majestic Blue Harbor Resort & Conference Center, and we are home to many festivals and events.

Looking for a taste of Americana? Join us for our spectacular Independence Day Celebration (the Big Bang sponsored by Johnsonville) and Brat Days (a glorious celebration of our "Brat" Heritage).

Experience our eclectic shops on Historic Michigan Avenue, the unique Riverfront Shanty stores and restaurants along the river is the Boardwalk, and wander through the beautiful items at our new retailers along South Pier.

attractions
  • The Stefanie H. Weill Center — Designed in the Spanish Colonial Revival architectural style, it is an especially fine and intact example of the ‘atmospheric” type movie theater developed in the 1920’s. • Blue Harbor Resort is a true resort destination — and the perfect place for families looking for a “kid friendly/parent comfortable”
    vacation experience.

  • The John Michael Kohler Arts Center — At the very heart of the John Michael Kohler Arts Center are its local, regional, and national constituencies and the unique, very real relationship between artists and public.

attractions

A haven for sports enthusiasts, a myriad of culture amid the arts and history, and festivals for all occasions.

When people think of Sheboygan County, the first things that come to mind are golf and fishing. We certainly are proud of the golf courses and fishing opportunities that have brought so many visitors to this area; however, we have so much more to offer you and want your experience with us to be memorable.

This present pierhead light was built in 1915, although Sheboygan has been served by a lighthouse since 1839. The skeletal steel pierhead tower was topped with a circular parapet and lantern room; however, the lantern room has been removed and only the tower remains.
